About SELPA

The Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) coordinates with school districts and the County Office of Education to provide a continuum of programs and services for disabled individuals from birth through 22 years of age. They are also available as a resource to the community on issues related to special education. SELPA ‘s Procedural Handbook is a handbook on all legal rights and explains the whole IEP process from Assesment to IEP (including Early Childhood).
